Maple sugar is obtained by reducing maple syrup to produce a concentrate that contains all the benefits of maple syrup. Sand-coloured, we use a light syrup to bring out all the subtlety of the maple. Once sold in block form, called sugar loaf, it was the only way to preserve maple syrup all year round.
It is a delicious and healthy alternative to refined sugar in coffee, on a butter pancake or creme brulee. It will delicately flavour your fruit salads and perfectly complement your cocktails such as Montreal's famous mojito.
